Now that we're past the halfway point of the 2024 college football season, we've got plenty of film to start analyzing for top prospects who are eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Last year's class didn't see a defensive player picked until No. 15 overall, but five edge defenders came off the board from that point on in the first round, and we've seen a few of them making an immediate impact as rookies. The 2025 class has a couple of players at the position who could challenge for top-10 consideration, as well as a strong second tier that should be well-represented throughout the rest of the top 50.
