2025 Philadelphia Eagles projected win total, prediction

Coming off a 2024 season that ended with a Super Bowl championship, the Philadelphia Eagles will look to do it again in 2025. Per BetMGM, Philadelphia will win double-digit games for the fourth straight season.

Regular-season win total: 11.5

Outlook: For the third time in three years, Philadelphia will start the regular season with a new offensive coordinator after Kellen Moore left to become head coach of the New Orleans Saints. New coordinator Kevin Patullo has been with the Eagles since 2021, initially as the passing game coordinator, later as associate head coach, but has no experience calling plays.

Fortunately for Patullo, running back Saquon Barkley will be back after leading the league with 2,005 yards last season. Of course, he needed a career-high 345 carries to get there, so expect the Eagles to mix in second-year running back Will Shipley and former Green Bay Packer AJ Dillon, especially in early games.

Philadelphia’s offense earned the eighth-most yards (367.2) and seventh-most points (27.2) per game in 2024 but no defense allowed fewer yards (278.4) per game and only the Chargers gave up fewer points (17.7) per game than the Eagles (17.8).

Much of the team’s success can be attributed to veteran coordinator Vic Fangio, who transformed a defense that gave up the third-most points per game (25.2) in 2023 into a unit that allowed the second-fewest in 2024.

Things could be more difficult for Fangio’s unit in 2025 with the loss of cornerback Darius Slay and players like Brandon Graham, Milton Williams and Josh Sweat, who accounted for 85 tackles and 16.5 sacks last season.

Philadelphia will lean heavily on All-Pro players like linebacker Zack Baun, who signed a three-year, $51M contract in the offseason, and defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who should get an even bigger deal next offseason.

The Eagles will need contributions from linebacker Jihaad Campbell and free safety Andrew Mukuba, the team’s first- and second-round picks in this year’s draft. Campbell will have to prove he’s recovered from offseason shoulder surgery but Mukuba could step right in after C.J. Gardner-Johnson was traded to Houston.

As for the schedule, it won't be easy for Philadelphia. Not only will the team open the regular season against the rival Cowboys, they’ll play 11 games against teams from last year’s playoffs, tied for most in the league with the Detroit Lions.

Our take: The Eagles disappointed after reaching the Super Bowl in 2023, but won’t do the same in 2025. The defense may fall off a bit, but with 10 of 11 starters returning on offense, they should have more than enough to get back to the big game.

Predicted win total: 12
