3 Key Matchups in Green Bay @ Dallas

The last time these two met up was in the 2023 Playoffs where Jordan Love was one Tucker Kraft dropped pass away from a perfect QB rating in his first career playoff game. Opposing Quarterbacks are currently thriving while playing against this current iteration of the Cowboys defense. For the Cowboys sake they are hoping that the return of their star cornerback Daron Bland will provide a huge lift for their defense. Jordan Love in 2025 thus far is 6th in QB rating with 110.1 and is 6th in adjusted EPA per play. If the Dallas defense can’t find a way to stop Love and the Packers offense it could be a very long night for the Cowboys.

Micah Parsons vs Dallas Offensive Line

Micah Parsons, is set to play against the Cowboys for the first time since they traded him to the Packers on August 28th. Emotions could fuel the four-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman throughout his return to Dallas. The Packers will be facing a Dallas Cowboys offensive line who will be without starting center Cooper Beebe and starting right guard Tyler Booker. It certainly could be a very long night for Cowboys QB Dak Prescott. The Packers front 4 has been pressuring the QB at a rate that Packers fans have not seen since the 1990’s with Reggie White. Don’t be surprised to see a Micah Parsons sack celebration on Sunday Night Football, and perhaps a point to Jerry Jones press box.

Green Bay Rush Defense vs Dallas Cowboys Run Offense

The last of our 3 key matchups in Green Bay @ Dallas is the Packers rush defense vs the Cowboys rush offense. The Packers defense currently ranks #3 in the NFL in rushing defense. When the Packers decided to make the trade for Parsons, all of the talk was just “Run at Micah”. Thus far in 2025 the Packers have shown they can more than hang against the run. Javonte Williams so far has been a very productive runner ranking 7th in the NFL in rushing yards and has a career best 5.3 yards per carry. If the Packers can shut down this Dallas rushing attack with Williams, there doesn’t seem to be many avenues for the Cowboys to come out on top this Sunday Night.
