3 NFL Stars Agree To Be On Netflix's 'Quarterback' Series

After taking a year off from "Quarterback" to focus on "Receiver," Netflix's original hit series is reportedly set to return with a new cast of characters.

The first season of the documentary-style NFL show gave fans an all-encompassing, behind-the-scenes look at what goes into the product we see on Sundays — with a focus on Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes, Minnesota's Kirk Cousins and Atlanta's Marcus Mariota (at the time).

Now as Omaha Productions gets set to launch the next installment with the streaming giant, two new quarterbacks will star in Season 2, along with a familiar face from its debut: the Bengals' Joe Burrow, Lions QB Jared Goff and the return of the 36-year-old Cousins.

Last year's "Receiver" featured Goff's All-Pro teammate Amon-Ra St. Brown on his way to a career-high 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns before falling to the San Francisco 49ers in heartbreaking fashion in the NFC Championship Game.

It's always interesting to get a glimpse into what players go through in order to make sure they're prepared to perform their best when the lights shine brightest on Sunday.

Some quarterbacks have been hesitant about doing the show because it's so invasive and could be a distraction to the rest of the team if cameras are following them all season.

That didn't seem to be a problem for Patrick Mahomes or the Chiefs though, who had their journey to Super Bowl LVII documented by Peyton Manning's crew.

According to Netflix's teaser trailer, the the season will be available to watch this July ahead of the league's preseason.
