3 NFL Teams Most Likely To Change Starting Quarterbacks After Week 2

Although it's only Week 2, there are a few teams that'll inevitably make a quarterback change this NFL season.

Despite selecting Ole Miss product Jaxson Dart with the No. 25 overall pick in this year's draft, the New York Giants named Russell Wilson their Week 1 starter. He had a rough performance against the Washington Commanders last Sunday, completing 17 of 37 pass attempts for 168 yards in a 21-6 loss.

Even though Wilson struggled mightily against the Commanders, the Giants aren't ready to hand the starting job to Dart.

"After a game - it's an emotional game, tough game," Giants head coach Brian Daboll said. "Didn't play particularly well, I would say collectively, but in terms of making any of those decisions - really at any position or schematic changes -- I'd like to do it with a clear head and watch the tape. Again, like I said yesterday, that game doesn't fall on Russell Wilson. We got to do a better job collectively; coaching, playing. But Russ will be the starter."

Dart had a stellar preseason for the G-Men. He completed 68.1% of his passes for 372 yards with three touchdowns. The fans in New York are already calling for him to be the starter.

When asked about the fan base's demands, Dart made it clear that he's not concerned about the public's opinions.

"I don't pay attention to that stuff," Dart said. "I think it's just of the nature of the sport. Any time that you don't win people talk and things like that happen. It's completely different if you win. You have to take all that with a grain of salt and my job is to control what I can control and be the best teammate I can be. Do my job in practice in preparing our guys."

When will NOLA make a change?

Eventually, the New Orleans Saints will start Tyler Shough at quarterback. After all, they used a top-40 pick on him.

Shough showed a lot of promise during his final season at Louisville, throwing for 3,195 yards with 23 touchdowns and six interceptions. However, he lost New Orleans' quarterback competition to Spencer Rattler.

Week 1 was a mixed bag for Rattler, who had 214 passing yards on 46 attempts in a 20-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. If he can't step up over the next few weeks, Kellen Moore will most likely give Shough first-team reps.

Joe Flacco could be running out of time.

The Cleveland Browns named Joe Flacco their Week 1 starter in large part because of his experience. He had an inconsistent performance against the Cincinnati Bengals, completing 31-of-45 passes for 290 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.

Flacco will most likely remain the starter until Dillon Gabriel is ready to take over. That might happen soon though, especially since the Oregon product was efficient in the preseason.

"He [Gabriel] is certainly somebody that we think is getting better and better," Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said.

If the Browns drop to 0-2 on the season, the coaching staff might hand the keys to the car to Gabriel.
