There's one more preseason game for the Baltimore Ravens and that means there's one more opportunity for lesser-known names on the roster to show they're worth keeping around. The Ravens will have to make some tough decisions and if these sleepers have anything to do with it, they'll continue to make it a difficult choice for the team to part ways with them.
Let's look at three Ravens sleepers who might have already done enough to work their way onto the 53-man roster.
It's hard for UDFAs to work their way up a depth chart but Corey Bullock has done just that. Undrafted in 2024, Bullock joined the Ravens a season ago and is now in serious contention of making it onto Baltimore's roster for the 2025 season.
All that stands in Bullock's way is Nick Samac and Garrett Dellinger but many would say that Bullock has been the biggest standout of the three. Bullock has been the starting center during the preseason and has earned the praise of his teammates, including backup quarterback Cooper Rush.
It certainly feels as if Bullock has done enough to justify giving him a roster spot. Impressive work from the Maryland UDFA.
The Ravens looked to have found another diamond in the rough in undrafted free agency with Jay Higgins also not hearing his name called. Higgins went undrafted in this year's draft and was one of the more high-profile UDFA signings for Baltimore in the spring.
Higgins has looked good in preseason and put on an absolute clinic in his debut earlier in the month. The former Iowa product put on a performance to remember, notching an interception and three tackles while defending two passes with one of those coming in a clutch situation. Higgins has put in the work to make the team and it'd be tough to let the promising young linebacker go.
This might be wishful thinking because Keyon Martin has had a productive summer with the Ravens. Working against Martin is how much depth the Ravens look to have at the cornerback position. Maybe that pushes them to keep more names there to ensure they have a stacked secondary but that feels unlikely.
If the Ravens don't keep Martin on their roster, the chances of him making it through to the practice squad feel slim given how good he's looked this summer. Martin was an impact player in the preseason match-up against the Cowboys, sacking Joe Milton III for a safety on Dallas' opening drive. It'd be hard not to keep Martin around but that's a sad reality Baltimore might be facing, unfortunately.
