The Baltimore Ravens have been dominating the preseason like they always do, but this time of the year is about more than wins and losses. The preseason is mainly about evaluating players to determine who will make the 53-man roster, and which guys will be waived. Through two preseason outings, several players have already secured roster spots, and others have delivered performances that have them headed towards waivers.

While there is one preseason game left before the Ravens and other teams have to officially trim their rosters, a few players had performances in Week 2 of the preseason that will be hard to comeback from. Let’s take a look at three players unlikely to make Baltimore’s initial 53-man roster.

Offensive lineman Joe Noteboom could be waived after underwhelming preseason

Joe Noteboom is a veteran offensive tackle who has been in the league since 2018 when he was drafted in the third round by the Los Angeles Rams. He left L.A. for the first time this offseason, signing with Baltimore as a veteran depth option. However, Noteboom may not be with the team for long after delivering poor play in the preseason.

Currently listed as the Ravens second-string left tackle, he’ll have to rely on his veteran experience, as well as his day-to-day performances, to give him the edge over younger depth lineman like Gerad Lichtenham.

C.J. Okoye could be a cut candidate for Ravens after performance against Cowboys

C.J. Okoye has created a nice buzz for himself since joining Baltimore this offseason. After spending his first two years on the Los Angeles Chargers practice squad, the undrafted defensive lineman was hoping to finally find his way onto a regular-season roster. Unfortunately, that attempt hasn’t been going so well.

In Saturday’s preseason game, Okoye recorded just one tackle. It’s going to take more than that to make a roster as talented as Baltimore’s is.

Nick Samac hasn’t done enough to make Ravens roster

Keeping things in the trenches, Nick Samac hasn’t don’t enough either to make the 53-man roster. Selected in the seventh round of the 2024 Draft, Samac made the roster as a rookie but didn’t appear in any games. Back for year two as the second-string center, Samac hasn’t been able to separate himself from the other depth linemen options. That could result in him being waived after the final preseason game.
