According to Adam Schefter, and Leonard is scheduled to visit Philadelphia on Wednesday. Leonard was waived by Indianapolis last week in a move that will cost the Colts $27.7 million in dead cap space.

Who is Shaq Leonard?

Leonard (6’2, 230lbs) was drafted in 2018 in the 2nd round by the Indianapolis Colts out of South Carolina State. He was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, 1st Team All Pro, and named to the Top 100 Players in the NFL after his rookie season. The 3-time All Pro has dealt with injury issues over the last few seasons, which led to a dip in playing time for the Colts.

Why This Makes Sense for the Philadelphia Eagles

Philly has a solid defense but lacks depth at LB after the injury to Nakobe Dean. Dean is on IR for the second time this season. Leonard would be able to step in immediately and become a playmaker for the Eagles Super Bowl-caliber roster.
