The San Francisco 49ers announced they have claimed defensive lineman Jordan Jefferson off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars. To make room on the roster, the team waived defensive lineman Evan Anderson.

Jefferson (6-2, 316) was originally drafted by the Jaguars in the fourth round (116th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. In 2024, Jefferson appeared in eight games and registered 12 tackles, 1.0 sack, and one pass defensed.
A 23-year-old native of Navarre, FL, Jefferson attended West Virginia University (2019-22) before transferring to Louisiana State University (2023), where he appeared in 55 games (23 starts) and totaled 90 tackles, eight passes defensed, 6.0 sacks, and one forced fumble.
Anderson (6-3, 326) appeared in 12 games (one start) with the team and registered 24 tackles, 1.0 sack, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
