The San Francisco 49ers faced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday with a chance to improve to 5-1 on the season.
In the first quarter, with under eight minutes to play, Bucs running back Rachaad White took a handoff from Baker Mayfield.
As he was tackled by the 49ers' defense, San Francisco star linebacker Fred Warner was rolled up on.
He quickly grabbed his leg and looked to be in serious pain. After several moments, the cart came out for Warner, and he was carted off the field in an aircast.
It didn't take long for the 49ers to rule out Warner for the remainder of the game.
Devastating: The full play on which Fred Warner injured his knee/leg. This looks terrible....

This is a crushing blow to not only the 49ers' defense but also the team as a whole. They have dealt with plenty of injuries already this season.
Some of them include quarterback Brock Purdy, tight end George Kittle, wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, wide receiver Jauan Jennings and more.
Warner is a team captain and in his eighth season in the NFL.
He was drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft by the 49ers.
Warner played his college football at BYU and is a four-time First-Team All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler.
