As expected, the Tennessee Titans have made a move to hire San Francisco 49ers assistant head coach Gus Bradley, bringing him on as their new defensive coordinator.

Bradley follows Robert Saleh, who was recently named the Titans' head coach after spending the 2025 season in his second stint as San Francisco's defensive coordinator.

The 49ers have reportedly hired Raheem Morris to replace Saleh on their coaching staff.

Over the weekend, Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reported that both the Titans and Arizona Cardinals were potential suitors for Bradley. While Arizona was initially viewed as the frontrunner—given that Saleh is expected to handle defensive play-calling duties in Tennessee—the Titans ultimately landed the veteran coach.

Bradley joined the 49ers just last season. He has extensive experience as a defensive coordinator, previously holding the role with the Indianapolis Colts (2022–2024), Las Vegas Raiders (2021), Los Angeles Chargers (2017–2020), and Seattle Seahawks (2009–2012).

In addition to his coordinator experience, Bradley served as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2013 to 2016. He worked alongside Saleh during their time with the Seahawks and Jaguars before the two reunited in Santa Clara with the 49ers in 2025.
