The reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year will be out for the remainder of the San Francisco 49ers' matchup against the New York Jets on Sunday.
Defensive end Nick Bosa was carted off the field in the first quarter with an apparent knee injury.

The 22-year-old appeared to get twisted up on a four-yard run from Frank Gore with 6:45 remaining in the first quarter. Bosa's leg buckled underneath him as he was fighting off a block from the Jets offensive line.
Solomon Thomas, a possible replacement for Bosa, was later carted off the field with an apparent left leg injury just two snaps later.
San Francisco is dealing with plenty of injuries early on this season. Tight end George Kittle was ruled out for Week 2 with an MCL sprain, and the team will be without cornerback Richard Sherman for a while after he was placed on injured reserve with a calf strain.
Losing Bosa for any amount of time will be costly for a 49ers team that struggled early on this season against the Arizona Cardinals. San Francisco now is hoping he didn't suffer an ACL injury. Bosa previously tore his ACL during a high school game in 2015.
