The San Francisco 49ers are expected to have star left tackle Trent Williams available for Sunday's Wild Card matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Williams suffered a hamstring injury early in Week 17's game against the Chicago Bears, which forced him to miss the regular-season finale versus the Seattle Seahawks. The veteran offensive lineman returned to practice this week as a limited participant, suggesting he might be available for the NFC playoff showdown.

On Friday, Williams said he felt confident about his chances of playing against the Eagles.

"Yeah, definitely more confident than I felt a week ago," Williams said.

Still, Williams acknowledged the hamstring injury remains something he must manage.

"I mean, it's always going to be a little bit of concern," Williams said. "Obviously, I'm kind of pushing the limits on the time that's required for it. So, obviously, it'll probably be in the back of my mind for a little bit.

"But once you get out there and the juices get to flowing, adrenaline, I don't think it should be that big of a problem."
