49ers vs. Raiders PFF grades: Best and worst from the game, plus snap counts

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 22-19 in a preseason matchup at Allegiant Stadium. Today, Pro Football Focus released its grades and snap counts from the game. Which Niners stood out, and who has more work to do?

Quarterback play

Brock Purdy was the 49ers' highest-graded offensive player, earning a 90.5 offensive grade after completing 5 of 7 passes for 66 yards (100.9 passer rating). He played just one offensive series.
Mac Jones went 13-of-16 for 135 yards with one interception, finishing with a 65.5 offensive grade.

Carter Bradley completed 8 of 13 passes for 96 yards, earning a 55.7 offensive grade.

Highest marks

Safety Jaylen Mahoney led the team with a 91.4 defensive grade across 32 snaps, supported by a team-best 89.3 coverage grade. He recorded two tackles, a pass defensed, and an interception.

Offensive line

Center Drake Nugent earned the highest offensive grade among linemen at 67.9, allowing just one pressure across 20 snaps.

In total, the 49ers' offensive line surrendered 14 pressures.

Passing attack

For the second consecutive week, wide receiver Demarcus Robinson earned the best grade among pass catchers. He earned an 84.9 offensive grade and 83.9 receiving grade, finishing with three catches for 44 yards.

Robbie Chosen led all receivers with 92 yards on five catches, posting a 79.4 offensive grade.

Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, limited to one drive, hauled in three receptions for 42 yards, earning an 81.7 offensive grade..

Rushing attack

Veteran Jeff Wilson Jr. earned the highest rushing grade (67.1) among 49ers backs, finishing with eight carries for 16 yards and a touchdown.

Pass rush and run defense

Interestingly, cornerback Chase Lucas earned the 49ers' top pass-rush grade (72.5), recording a pressure and a sack.

Rookie linebacker Nickolas Martin was the 49ers' second-highest graded pass rusher at 70.3.

Defensive end Trevis Gipson led the team with four total pressures and added a sack.

Jaylen Mahoney's 89.3 coverage grade ranked first on the team, while Chase Lucas earned the second-highest mark at 86.7.

Linebacker Chazz Surratt posted the top tackling grade (82.3), finishing with five tackles.
