The San Francisco 49ers will be without linebacker Dre Greenlaw for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks after he was ejected in the second quarter for headbutting Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV on the sideline.

Greenlaw wore his helmet, while Jones did not. The incident followed Greenlaw hitting Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold after he ran out of bounds, prompting members of Seattle's sideline to swarm the 49ers linebacker.

Tom Brady, a member of the FOX broadcast team calling the game, didn't see a big issue with Greenlaw's hit on Darnold. However, he criticized the decision to headbutt the defenseless Jones.

The 49ers led the Seahawks 14-10 at the time. Greenlaw was escorted to the locker room, leaving Fred Warner, rookie Jaden Dugger, and Luke Gifford on the field as the linebackers.
