4 teams linked to potential Jonathan Taylor trade

Trade rumors continue to intensify around Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, with four teams being strongly linked to the veteran.

The Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, and Minnesota Vikings are expected to be among the teams to pursue a Taylor trade, according to Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter of ESPN. All four teams have either expressed early interest or are expected to do so.

One lingering question is whether the Colts will even be open to trading Taylor. The team is off to a 2-4 start, and there is a real chance they could punt on the season ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline. On the other hand, they will want to resist that outcome as much as possible.

Taylor is still viewed as a top trade target by other teams. The Colts could theoretically get out from under his contract at minimal cost following this season, so it might benefit them to try and get a draft pick for him when they can. That will be entirely plausible if Taylor does attract widespread interest, which appears to be the case.

Taylor has 492 yards and seven touchdowns for the Colts this season. He rushed for 1,585 yards last year, the second time in his career he surpassed 1,500 yards in a season.
