A look ahead at the Packers September 2026 schedule

The Packers kickoff the regular season division rival Minnesota Vikings.

Last time the Packers played in Minnesota was earlier this year in January in the last regular season game of 2025.

Lets just say that game was more of a exhibition game more than anything.

This time though the Packers are looking to get off on the right foot with a win.

The Vikings offense have a new QB in Kyler Murray, who was picked up during the off-season.

They look to see if they made the right decision in choosing Murray over JJ McCarthy, who they spent a first round pick on back in 2024.

Because of the change at QB , I see the Vikings offense struggling.

Look for the Packers offense to be the opposite and put up points against the Vikings defense.

Week 2: at New York Jets

Yet another road game for the Packers as they face the New York Jets in New York.

Like the Vikings, the Jets also have a new starting QB in veteran Geno Smith.

Green Bay is familiar with Smith having faced him in 2024 when he was with Seattle.

While the Jets offense hasn’t been the best, the Jets defense is the focal point.

But the unit is under new leadership under Brian Duker.

In the Preseason, the Jets defense focused on forcing turnovers, something Green Bay will need to lookout for.

If Green Bay can come out with the victory here, it will be one of the tougher one they’ll have.

Green Bay always seems to struggle with inter-divisional games especially on the road.

While it is not entirely impossible for Green Bay to come out with the victory, this could be a trap game for Green Bay.

Week 3: Atlanta Falcons

Finally the Packers get their home opener in week three against the Atlanta Falcons.

This is the longest the Packers have gone without a home opener since 2016.

But once again, Green Bay might be facing a new starting QB.

The Falcons have a QB competition going on between incoming starter Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa.

Just this week, Tagovailoa was named the starting QB, but that can easily be changed by the time the Falcons play the Packers.

If Tagovailoa manages to stay the starting QB for the Falcons by that time, it will be the third time he faces the Packers.

Back in 2024 he threw for 365 yards and two touchdowns, but he was sacked 5 times against the Packers .

In 2021 he threw for 310 yards but was intercepted three times by the Packers.

While Tagovailoa has had success against the Packers, he hasn’t gotten the win against the Packers yet.

Because of that I see Green Bay coming away with yet another home opener win.

Prediction

Because of the uncertainty of the QB position of all three teams, the Packers defense I think will do fine against them.

Even without Parsons, the Packers defense will be able to create confusion and turnovers against these offenses, who have new QBs starting.

I don’t see the Packers struggling against any of these defenses.

The end result is I think the Packers start the season 3-0.
