A new narrative about Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is going to start after his first bad game, and it's going to be dumb
Lon Horwedel-Imagn Images

Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is coming off another big-time game on Sunday. He had seven catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns. He's leading the NFL in receiving touchdowns as well as being fourth in receptions and sixth in receiving yards. He's very good. That's why it's going to suck when the next time the Lions lose, he has a bad game, or both, and your uncle calls the local radio station to complain about this.

Amon-Ra St. Brown was up till 4:30 in the morning playing NBA 2K26 before the Lions' win over the Browns

Yes, that's actually St. Brown. He confirmed that it was him on his Instagram story after the game. No, it doesn't really matter that he plays video games. Calm down, Uncle Joe ( I don't have an Uncle Joe, but it just seems like it would be your Uncle Joe, right?). I know that back in your day, players worked out for 10 hours a day, rubbed dirt on thier wounds, and were in bad prom[tley at 5:30 PM the night before a game, but that's just not how people live anymore.

These players are all young, and they were raised in an era where playing video games online is just a normal thing. I mean, I've got nieces and nephews who stay up all night and sleep all day because they're glued to their video games. I'm not saying it's healthy or that I would do it, but it's clearly not a big deal for St. Brown.

He caught every ball thrown his way and is off to the best start of his career. So please don't be that guy and call 97.1 and tell Mike Valenti that Dan Campbell doesn't have his guys ready because they're playing video games all night. You will be laughed at by everyone else.
