Aaron Jones: Jordan Love 'has everybody's full trust'

The Green Bay Packers have moved on from future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers to unproven 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love. The decision is part of a youth movement in Green Bay that saw multiple veterans leave via free agency. Despite the youth of the team, their expectations for themselves are incredibly high, so much so that a few players do not even want to hear the word “rebuild.” Additionally, running back Aaron Jones had some great words of confidence for his new starting quarterback when he addressed the media on Wednesday.

Aaron Jones Says Jordan Love Has Everyone’s Confidence

Aaron Jones, Jordan Love, and Kenny Clark all addressed the media for the first time during team activities this offseason. Jones was asked about Love and why he decided to go train with him in California earlier this spring. He was also asked about why he thinks Love is ready to be the Packers’ starting quarterback:

“I mean, just the timing with guys. He’s had time to get comfortable, he’s had time to learn the offense. Yeah, he’s had time to get that confidence. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to go out there to California to work with him. You know, to help get that timing down with him.

“Just seeing how he’s bringing guys up under him and how guys respond to him, he has everybody’s full trust.”

There will certainly be growing pains this season, but that is to be expected with a team so young. It is going to be exciting to watch them grow together and improve as the season goes on. With Love, the veterans, and the rookies all working so hard to get on the same page, the offense should run much more smoothly than it did last season. If it does, and if the defense improves even a little bit, Love could lead Green Bay back to the playoffs again.
