Aaron Rodgers Announces He’s Done With Family Posts

Rodgers explained his decision during an interview with The Athletic on Aug. 3. He said he had always believed family matters should stay away from the public eye.

“There’s been a narrative out there. There’s not been a lot of information that’s truthful about it. And I think that the personal life should stay personal and private,” Rodgers said.

He said he made an exception this summer because he wanted to put some old stories to rest.

“But I feel like it was part of the full-circle to just one time post something, and never again,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers also credited his wife, Brittani, for helping him reconnect with his family. He said her love and support helped him consider rebuilding those relationships.

“She is the big impetus behind that [reconciliation],” Rodgers clarified.

Rodgers said the process took a couple of years. He described having those relationships back as “a real blessing in my life.”

His brother, Jordan Rodgers, did not attend the family reunion and didn’t appear in any of the photos Aaron posted. Jordan has previously spoken about his distant relationship with Aaron.

Jordan did, however, like the Instagram photo Aaron shared.

“Me and Aaron don’t really have that much of a relationship,” Jordan previously told JoJo Fletcher.

Aaron now plans to keep his family life away from social media. For him, it’s a rare exception rather than a new habit.
