Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane has become the 21st player in NHL history and second active player to record 900 career assists.
He achieved the feat Saturday against the Boston Bruins on the man advantage, providing a sweet feed to Anton Frondell, who recorded his second goal of the season.
He joins Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby, who is the first active player to achieve the feat and now owns 1,111 assists.
It's a noteworthy milestone for the 37-year-old Kane in his legendary NHL career, as he is the all-time champion in assists by an American-born player. Kane surpassed Phil Housley (894 assists) on Oct. 16.
He recorded his 895th career assist with a power-play goal by Connor Bedard in the first period against the Winnipeg Jets. He then went on to record his 896th career assist in an overtime victory.

Bedard also recorded an assist on Saturday's record play, illustrating how he and Kane have been a dominant force on the power-play with solid chemistry.
As one of the most elite American-born NHL players, complementing his 900 assists, Kane also has 509 career goals, which has him owning 1,409 career points.
Kane played for the Detroit Red Wings last season and belted 16 goals with 41 assists and 57 points across 67 games. In July, he returned to the Blackhawks, signing a two-year deal.
