Aaron Rodgers gives shallow answer when asked how Steelers move on from loss to Chargers

After beating the AFC-leading Indianapolis Colts at home one week ago, Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers continued their Jekyll and Hyde season with an uninspiring 25-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on "Sunday Night Football."

It was a particularly frustrating night for the 41-year-old Rodgers, who completed only 16 of his 31 passes for 161 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in a loss that drops Pittsburgh to 5-4 on the season.

It's the third loss in four games for the Steelers, who return home on Nov. 16 to face a division rival in the Cincinnati Bengals. In a postgame news conference, Rodgers was asked how the team would move forward from the loss, and he gave an answer that's not exactly what you want to hear from your starting quarterback amid a skid.

Aaron Rodgers deflects question on offense's struggles

"We're 5-4, we're leading the division," Rodgers said in response to a question about how he and the offense move forward from their performance on Sunday.

Pittsburgh does lead its division after Week 10, but that's not a statement that holds as much weight as it normally does. Both the Ravens (4-5) and the Bengals (3-6) have been heavily affected by quarterback injuries this season, while Cleveland (2-7) has already made a change at the quarterback position.

Barring a major collapse over the second half of the season, the Steelers should be able to close out an AFC North title and snag a playoff berth. But it's hard to see Pittsburgh being able to make a deep playoff run as it is right now — especially if its quarterback keeps a laissez-faire attitude about the offense's struggles.
