Aaron Rodgers is hoping to return to practice for the Pittsburgh Steelers this week.

Rodgers did not practice on Wednesday as expected. The Steelers quarterback told reporters that he is hoping to practice on Thursday as he recovers from a broken bone in his left wrist.

Rodgers said that he was in a lot of pain when he suffered his injury on Sunday. He says that there is a safety concern, and not a pain-tolerance concern when it comes to him playing in Week 12.

The Steelers improved to 6-4 with their Week 11 win over the Bengals. They got the victory despite Rodgers getting hurt and replaced by Mason Rudolph. Pittsburgh is in first place in the AFC North, but the Baltimore Ravens have won four straight games and are making a charge at 5-5.

If Rodgers were deemed unable to play on Sunday, Rudolph would step in to make the start. Rudolph, 30, has appeared in 32 career NFL games and has shown he is capable of stepping in as needed.
