Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Calijah Kancey has not been fined for his personal foul on Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The NFL released its Week 6 accountability report Saturday afternoon, and Kancey wasn’t on the list.
Kancey delivered a late hit on Rodgers in the fourth quarter of their Week 6 matchup. The contentious incident occurred at the 14:35 mark after Rodgers threw an incomplete pass to Germie Bernard.
Officials immediately flagged Kancey’s tackle for roughing the passer, resulting in a 15-yard penalty against the Buccaneers.
According to Rule 12, Section 2, Article 11 of the 2026 NFL rulebook, roughing the passer covers “any physical acts against a player who is in a passing posture (i.e. before, during, or after attempting a pass) which, in the game official’s judgment, are unwarranted by the circumstances of the play.”
After reviewing the play, the NFL decided not to fine Kancey. The 25-year-old has dodged a hefty $17,911 fine for roughing the passer under the 2026 NFL fines schedule.
Rodgers completed 33 of 49 passes for 253 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, leading Pittsburgh to a 26-19 overtime win. The Steelers improved to 4-2, while Tampa Bay dropped to 1-5 after another tough loss.
Kancey and Co. will look to bounce back against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. The Buccaneers will be on the road, with the Panthers hosting the Week 7 showdown at Bank of America Stadium.
Meanwhile, Rodgers and the Steelers will face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday morning as part of the NFL’s international games. Kickoff from Stade de France in Paris is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET on the NFL Network.
