Aaron Rodgers Says He Hasn't Made Decision On 2025 NFL Season

Aaron Rodgers' future has been a big topic of discussion given the state of the New York Jets right now.

The team is 3-8 through the first 12 weeks, has fired its head coach, fired its general manager and has no sense of direction other than being the same old Jets.

Aaron Rodgers also seems to be part of the problem as well. Not only with his play — but the power he wields within the organization and his seeming inoculation from being able to shoulder any blame for the team's shortcomings.

Appearing on Tuesday's "Pat McAfee Show," the four-time MVP said he hasn't decided on whether or not he'll play in 2025, although his preference would be to remain with the Jets.

"As far as my future goes, I haven't told anybody in my life that I want to play in 2025 and not on the Jets. That's 100% false," Rodgers said. "... I'm gonna wait and see what happens at the end of the season and if they want me back. ... There's a lot of things out of my control when it comes to that but I've really enjoyed my time in New York... And I came here to win here. So I'm not jumping off ship... I don't even know if I want to play yet but New York would be my first option."

The Jets are coming off a heartbreaking 28-27 loss in the final minute against the Colts and have a tough road ahead.

It's hard to imagine Rodgers will be wearing No. 8 for the Jets again a year from now but who really knows when it comes to the Woody Johnson regime.

New York will open December with a 1 PM matchup vs. the Seahawks in the early window on FOX.
