Aaron Rodgers Starts Prank War at Steelers Training Camp

During the Pittsburgh Steelers' three-week stay in Latrobe for training camp this summer, it appears a prank war of sorts have broken out in the dorms.

While speaking with reporters a few days before the Steelers' first game of the preseason against the Green Bay Packers at Acrisure Stadium, Aaron Rodgers confirmed that pranks have occurred and that he was tagged as a potential culprit.

"There might've been a prank that happened in the dorms," Rodgers said. "I got the finger pointed at me immediately for some reason. Can't confirm or deny whether I was involved or not. Gotta keep guys on their toes for sure, it's part of the fun being out here in Latrobe."

Rodgers also issued a warning to his teammates, stating that he has unlimited resources at his disposal to go out and get back at someone if they decide to target him in a prank.

"People gotta be careful, because I do have unlimited resources to spend on pranks," Rodgers said. "We can have pranks back and forth, but just know that whatever you do to me, I'm gonna do something worse back to you."

Rodgers Getting the Most Out of Latrobe

Rodgers has previously spoken about his affinity for spending training camp at Saint Vincent College, which isn't necessarily a popular opinion amongst Steelers players.

“Mike [Tomlin] used to talk about a lot capturing that cannot be kind of quantified, and that’s what Latrobe gives,” Rodgers said. “The opportunity to spend time with each other at nighttime on the breaks, and you’re staying in a dorm, you know, sharing a bathroom and a shower with a teammate, and there’s some great team bonding opportunities for that and I just think it’s invaluable.”

With Rodgers speaking about the presence of pranks in the dorms a few days after Cam Heyward stated, "that's all he wants to do," it's clear the four-time MVP is enjoying himself as his last rodeo in the NFL is still in its beginning stages.

Coupled with the fact that Rodgers has reunited with his former Green Bay Packers head coach, Mike McCarthy, for one final run at a Lombardi Trophy after the pair won Super Bowl XLV over the Steelers in 2010, everything is lining up for a potentially happy ending to his illustrious career.

Rodgers has looked rather good throughout camp as well, and the 42-year-old holds the keys to the team's season as a whole. If he can come out and be just a little bit better than he was for Pittsburgh in 2025, there's a good chance the organization could finally snap its seven-game losing streak in the playoffs.

On the flip side, if Rodgers regresses and looks like a shell of himself, it won't matter how the rest of the team performs.

Everything on that front will sort itself out once the regular season arrives. For now, though, Rodgers is savoring his time in Latrobe.
