Amid conversations with the Pittsburgh Steelers over his impending return to the team, quarterback Aaron Rodgers has reportedly been in Pittsburgh to negotiate. But one reporter revealed that things might not be going as planned.
According to Steelers insider Gerry Dulac, despite being in Pittsburgh, Rodgers has not been speaking to the Steelers in-person and has instead been negotiating with the team through his agent. Dulac added that Rodgers has not been near the team's facility for the three-day rookie minicamp too.
"SOURCES: Aaron Rodgers has been in town for a couple days, but the Steelers have not met with him yet and instead have been talking with his agent. Rodgers has stayed away from the team’s South Side facility while the three-day rookie minicamp has been going on," Dulac wrote.

NFL fans found the report a little too strange to be real. Fans quickly pointed out that it would make no sense at all for Rodgers to fly out to Pittsburgh just to avoid meeting with the team in-person.
This makes 0 sense from the tweet end. I’d put my life on it, Rodgers has been around this weekend. Omar is being coy and we’re getting played like a fiddle. I bet by Tuesday, he’s on McAfees show he’s praising Big Mike. Yall look (expletive) stupid," one user remarked.
"So, you're saying he came to Pittsburgh, just so his agent can negotiate a deal? That makes absolutely no sense, unless a deal is imminent and he wants to be there for OTAs and mandatory minicamp in a few weeks," another pointed out.
"Why do you think he would come to town at all, if not to meet with the team??" a third asked.
It is possible that Rodgers is in the city to sign on the dotted line on his new deal once it's negotiated and is just waiting for the final agreement to be reached.
But Rodgers always marches to the beat of his own drum, so who can say with any certainty what he has planned at any given time?
If nothing else, it seems that a resolution to Rodgers' status with the Steelers will be reached within a few days, possibly even hours.
