Aaron Rodgers was so mad after being tackled by his teammate

Aaron Rodgers turned in a vintage performance in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night, but the star quarterback very much looked his age during one particular celebration late in the game.

Rodgers threw a 68-yard touchdown pass to tight end Pat Freiermuth with 2:21 remaining in the fourth quarter at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The score gave the Steelers a 31-30 lead, and Rodgers was as stoked about it as you would expect.

As Rodgers was sprinting down the sideline in celebration, Steelers tackle Broderick Jones ran up behind him and gave him an overly aggressive hug. Rodgers fell to the turf and was not happy. He then got to his feet and angrily shoved Jones.

David Bakhtiari, who was teammates with Rodgers on the Green Bay Packers and is one of his closest friends, shared the video on social media and said it “gets funnier the more you watch it.”

Jones obviously did not mean to take Rodgers down. The lineman probably got overly excited and failed to account for his own size and strength. Jones also may have forgotten that his quarterback is 41 years old.

Joe Flacco led a field goal drive on Cincinnati’s next possession, and the Bengals won 33-31. Both Rodgers and Flacco played like they were in their primes and stunned fans with their outstanding performances.

One Steelers player had the perfect nickname for the matchup, and it makes even more sense after what happened between Rodgers and Jones.
