Abdul Carter Wasn't In Attendance At Giants' Team Meeting

As controversial as Jaxson Dart's appearance at an event to introduce President Donald Trump may have been to some, Giants pass rusher Abdul Carter's response to it was considered far more egregious by many.

Following Dart's appearance at the event, Carter took to X and seemed to admonish him for doing that. Carter has since taken to social media to announce that he and Dart have settled their differences.

On Thursday, it was reported that the Giants held a team meeting where they cleared the air on what happened and pledged to keep things in-house on situations like that. Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post noted that Carter was absent. However, he noted that Carter simply had a family obligation related to a religious holiday and had communicated that to the team in advance.

Time to move on?

NFL fans have seemingly already grown tired of the story.

"So this isn't a story, Muslim people took off work yesterday and today, public schools were also closed," one user on X pointed out.

"I think people are making too much about this. Time to move on and put this in the rear view mirror," wrote another.

"Really needed a team meeting about this? Crazy (expletive)," a third wrote.

It's been nearly a week since both the speech and Carter's reaction to it and the players have publicly stated that they've moved on.

While fans have taken their usual sides in the endless political debate over whether it's right or wrong to support President Donald Trump, and will probably rehash it after every Giants game, the players seem to be moving forward.
