Adoree' Jackson's Philadelphia Eagles debut in the 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night did not start off as planned.
The former first-round pick was targeted seven times, allowed five receptions, for five first downs, going for 103 receiving yards, while being called for a defensive pass interference. Oh, by the way, one of his targets was a drop by a wide open wide receiver.
Regardless of what the numbers say, Jackson gave his performance a "C" in his first matchup of the 2025 campaign.
"I'll give myself a C," Jackson stated after the game. "Room for improvement, things that I did well, things that I can correct and get better for the next week. So, I'm not gonna hang my head or hang it too high or too low regardless at the end of the day, whether I play good or I didn't, there are always things I can find to get better at. So I give myself a "C." Cs get degrees, cause we won".

While the response may not be what Eagles fans wanted to hear, Jackson is right about one thing. The Eagles won the game, and that is the statistic that matters the most; however, with Andrew Mukuba healthy, the most glaring weakness on the Eagles now turns to Jackson.
Jackson has been regressing for the past several years in the NFL, and last night didn't help his stock much. While some believe he's more of a placeholder for Jakorian Bennett or Mac McWilliams to take control of the job.
With Jackson, playing the past several seasons for the New York Giants, it's fair to assume that Howie Roseman did his due diligence, as well as Jackson having plenty of experience against Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, his lackluster performance last night may be raising concerns at the Eagles' CB2 spot.
Jackson was brought in to provide some relief for Quinyon Mitchell, with Darius Slay now in Pittsburgh; however, Week 1 saw no such result.
