Dolphins
Dolphins RT Kadyn Proctor believes he still has plenty of room for improvement, even though it’s only his first season on a rebuilding team.
“I’m nowhere near where I need to be, for sure,” Proctor told reporters, via Dolphins Wire. “But I feel like, in the run game, I’ve always been a mauler. I just need to focus on staying on blocks and finishing blocks, just having more effort, in that regard. And then pass pro, just focusing on my hands. Sometimes I get a little reachy, which was OK when I was playing left tackle sometimes, but you can get beat inside a lot quicker. So you have to be very accurate with your hands at left guard, so focus on that.”
- Proctor and CB JuJu Brents are currently in the league’s concussion protocol. Marcel Louis-Jacques notes that both players were still symptomatic earlier this week and did not practice Wednesday.
Jets
- Jets WR Garrett Wilson was asked if he will request a trade, to which he responded no and is focusing on what he can control. (Zack Rosenblatt)
- Wilson was asked if he wants to be with the Jets: “Yeah, I want to be. I want to win games. That’s the one thing we’ve been missing on here. I love it here. Do I love it more than I love winning? Nah, to be completely honest, but I’m hopeful.” (Rosenblatt)
- He continued: “I’ve never been the best, like, optimistic guy, but … I’ve been optimistic for three, four, five years now, and that’s why (the losses) each week hurt a little more.” (Rosenblatt)
- Wilson admitted he’s frustrated with the lack of targets in games the team ended up losing: “No doubt. I’d be lying if I said I’m not. But at the end of the day it comes down to winning and losing. Throughout my experience when things go right I tend to have a part in that. And when it doesn’t, it seems avoidable.” (Rosenblatt)
- He clarified that his frustrations are solely out of a desire to contribute to the team: “That’s my main frustration that may show on TV but I don’t want it to be misconstrued, it all comes from the heart … it’s frustrating because I want to have an impact and I want to help the team.” (Rosenblatt)

Zack Rosenblatt notes that DT T’Vondre Sweat (knee) and DE Joseph Ossai (ankle) are considered week-to-week, while DE David Bailey (groin) did not practice on Wednesday.
- Jets HC Aaron Glenn has been calling defensive plays this season. When asked if he’s stretched too thin, Glenn said it hasn’t been easy to manage all aspects of the game, but wouldn’t say he’s struggling: “I wouldn’t say that. I could see how you would say that. And it’s not easy — I’ll be upfront and tell you that — but it’s my job to try to make sure these things happen and I’m going to put the stress on me to be able to do that.” (Rich Cimini)
Patriots
Chad Graff of The Athletic takes a look at five trade candidates who would make sense for the Patriots ahead of the deadline:
- Graff could see New England acquire Chargers EDGE Khalil Mack for a fifth-round pick, which would give them a rotational player and ideally save his best for the postseason.
- Regarding Colts DT Grover Stewart, Graff writes that sending Indianapolis a fifth-round pick and getting a sixth-round selection in addition to Stewart makes sense for them. He points out that New England never replaced DT Khyiris Tonga, who was their run-stuffing interior lineman from last year.
- Another Colts player Graff lists is WR Josh Downs in exchange for a sixth-round pick. He mentions that Downs already provides good chemistry with QB Drake Maye based on their college career together at North Carolina.
- Graff writes Buccaneers G Ben Bredeson for a sixth-round pick, noting that there aren’t a lot of solid guard options available on the market.
- Graff has Eagles CB Riq Woolen and a sixth-round pick in exchange for a fifth-round pick. With Woolen, Graff thinks he could provide New England a depth option at cornerback.
