A.J. Brown Addresses 'Worry' Level Over Eagles Stats

Brown's selflessness has been evident in his actions on and off the field. His most viral playoff moment to date came during the Eagles' wild-card victory over Green Bay, when cameras caught him reading Inner Excellence on the sideline. The image captured the attention of fans far more than his statistical output that day.

The wide receiver's low postseason numbers contrast sharply with his usual production. Brown has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in five of his six NFL seasons and was a critical part of Philadelphia's passing attack during the regular season. Earlier in the year, he wasn't shy about calling for improvement in the passing game, even after a 49-yard effort in a win over the Carolina Panthers.

Now, Brown is embracing his role in the Eagles' dominant rushing attack, contributing as a blocker to key plays. His blocks helped spring Saquon Barkley for electrifying touchdown runs of 62 and 78 yards in the Eagles' snowy divisional-round win over the Rams.

"Especially around this time, because you never know when whoever's in the backfield can take it all the way, especially Saquon," Brown explained. "You don't know if your block may be the deciding factor of if we score or not."

Philadelphia's passing game has been subdued this postseason, partly due to quarterback Jalen Hurts' recovery from a late-season concussion and challenging weather conditions. Brown himself dropped a deep pass in the snowy divisional-round matchup but remained confident.

"That damn snow," Brown joked. "I know I make that catch every time. I'm not making excuses, but I'm human. I have all the confidence in the world. I'm not worried about it."

Brown will have another chance to shine this Sunday when the Eagles face the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game. Whether it's catching passes or delivering game-changing blocks, Brown's team-first mentality exemplifies Philadelphia's playoff focus as they pursue another Super Bowl appearance.
