The highlighted quote had fans believing it was reflective of the frustration Brown was feeling.

The Philadelphia Eagles won at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-25 on Sunday to improve to 4-0. Brown was targeted a team-high 9 times in the game, but had just two catches for nine yards.

Even though Philly is 4-0, Brown has just 14 catches for 151 yards and 1 touchdown on the season. He had 6 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown in Week 3, but other than that, he hasn’t topped 27 yards receiving in a game. That has likely led to plenty of frustration from Brown, who made some interesting comments after Week 2.

It’s entirely possible that the quote was unrelated to football, but there certainly was reason for fans to begin their speculation.

Brown, 28, is in his fourth season with the Eagles. He’s had three straight 1,000-yard seasons and is hoping to make it four in a row.
