The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, capping off the NFL season.

Philadelphia finished the year with an 18-3 record, including playoff wins over the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, Washington Commanders and Chiefs en route to the second Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.

After Super Bowl LIX, the Alabama Crimson Tide's official social media account posted a historic announcement regarding the game. The Crimson Tide now hold the all-time record for the most Super Bowl-winning players in league history.

"Winners Win," posted Alabama. "Alabama has the MOST Super Bowl-winning players all-time."

Alabama was represented by five players on the Super Bowl champions: QB Jalen Hurts, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, guard Tyler Steen, defensive tackle Byron Young and guard Landon Dickerson.

Hurts highlighted the Crimson Tide bunch, winning Super Bowl MVP for his performance. The Eagles quarterback passed for two touchdowns and 221 yards, completing 17-of-22 attempts. He also added one touchdown and 72 yards on the ground.

The Crimson Tide will look to produce more Super Bowl champions in the years ahead. They enter the second year of the Kalen DeBoer era in the fall after a disappointing 9-4 season in 2024.
