Alice Cooper predicts Aaron Rodgers to Broncos, Baker Mayfield to Packers

Either rock legend Alice Cooper doesn't pay attention to the latest NFL rumors, or he has some previously unknown information about the futures of multiple big-name quarterbacks who have been linked with departures from their current clubs.

Per Kendra Meinert of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Cooper recently asked if four-time NFL Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers will return to the Green Bay Packers, retire, or attempt to force a trade to a different club. Later in the conversation, Cooper mentioned current Cleveland Browns starter Baker Mayfield, who was recently "neighbors" with the famous rocker for a national advertising campaign that aired throughout the 2021 season:

"I think he’s going to go to Denver, and I think (Baker) Mayfield is going to come to Green Bay. That’s my prediction," Cooper said when discussing Rodgers' intentions. "Mayfield’s a great quarterback. He would be very good for that team."

Cooper isn't the first person to link Rodgers with the Broncos, as they hired ex-Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett to be their next head coach in January. However, reports from multiple NFL insiders across Thursday and Friday said it's widely believed Rodgers will play at least one more season with the Packers. Meanwhile, the Browns allegedly are on track to keep Mayfield their QB1 via what is essentially a one-year "prove it" deal worth $18.858 million in guaranteed money.

Even still, it seems almost everybody is discussing the biggest question hovering over the NFL ahead of the new league year that opens on March 16.
