Taylor Swift's new album is everything and more, as the singer gave fans an inside look at her happily ever after with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. There were numerous songs and lines that were specific to Kelce on "The Life of a Showgirl."
So, without further ado, let's get into all the songs and lyrics that are dedicated to her fiancé.
"The Fate of Ophelia" is Swift's first song on the album, where she talks about how Kelce saved her from a tragic ending, such as Ophelia's in William Shakespeare's Hamlet.
She detailed how "the hookis someone comes into your life and rescues you from the fate of being driven mad by love," during an appearance on U.K. radio show Heart Breakfast on Oct. 3.
Swift opens the song by singing, "I heard you calling on the megaphone," which many believed to be a reference to Kelce using his New Heights podcast to get her attention after he was unable to meet her during her Eras Tour show at Arrowhead Stadium in 2023.
Here are some of the other lyrics that certainly seem to be about Kelce:
When Swift appeared on the New Heights podcast and initially announced her album, Kelce said "Opalite" was one of his favorite songs. And it makes sense why.
Many expected this song to be about Kelce, considering his birthstone is Opal. And she lived up to the hype.
“I’ve always loved that stone, and I thought it was a cool metaphor, that it’s a man-made opal and happiness can also be man-made, too,” she said during an appearance on the radio show Capital Breakfast. “So that’s what the song is about, that juxtaposition.”
Many also think Swift made a reference to Kelce's ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole in this song, singing 'You couldn't understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose.' This stemmed from a video that fans of Kelce asking Nicole to 'get off your phone.'
And then there's the chorus, which is incredible sweet as she sings, "But now, the sky is opalite, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh / Oh, my Lord Never made no one like you bеfore/ You had to make your own sunshine / But now, thе sky is opalite, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh, oh."
Swift has two siblings, but she is the oldest. In this song, she talks about how Kelce is a light in her life, despite past trauma. She also references a "youngest child," which is true of Kelce, who has one older sibling (Jason Kelce).
Here are some of the lyrics that appear to be about Kelce:
Swift's love for Kelce is so clear in this song as she states that all she wants is him and the future life they are looking to build together, willing to trade in her fame for that.
Here are some of the lyrics that are about Kelce:
This is Taylor Swift's raunchiest song ever, as she filled it with double-entendres and sexual humor about her relationship with Kelce.
Here are some of the lyrics that are about Kelce:
Considering some of the words, we couldn't fit in all of it, so here are the full lyrics.
In her 11th track, Swift sings about how in the past she felt that people calling her "sweetheart" were being "passive-aggressive," while those who called her "honey" made her "cry the whole way home." But now, when Kelce uses these terms of endearment, she loves it because she knows how much he loves her.
