Ravens HC John Harbaugh reveals why there won't be any 'surprises' vs. Steelers

The Steelers (9-7) and Ravens (13-3) will meet for the 60th time (including the postseason) in Week 18. Head coach John Harbaugh revealed why there shouldn't be any surprises on Saturday.

"I think they've got a pretty good understanding of how we like to play. Mike [Tomlin] and I probably have a pretty good understanding of how each other coaches his team," Harbaugh told reporters. "So, there won't be too many surprises."

The second meeting between these two teams this season will look a little different this time around, however. In Pittsburgh's 17-10 win over Baltimore in Week 5, the two starting quarterbacks were Kenny Pickett and Lamar Jackson.

On Saturday, it will be QB Mason Rudolph making his third straight start for the Steelers while QB Tyler Huntley will be getting the nod for the Ravens, who are sitting several starters since locking up the No. 1 seed in the AFC last week.

Nonetheless, the two teams always seem to play each other very well as the last seven matchups have been decided by seven or fewer points. But Pittsburgh was the victor in six of those.

The Steelers' recent dominance confirms Harbaugh's belief that Tomlin's job should be safe and that he is still one of the best coaches in the NFL.

"I have great respect for Mike for what he's done," Harbaugh added. "I think his stamp is on the football team without question. They're a team that plays winning football. They don't beat themselves."

The Ravens may not be playing for anything besides bragging rights, but the same can't be said for their AFC North rival.

Pittsburgh's playoff hopes will be decided in Week 18 and winning will certainly help its chances. Baltimore will do its best to prevent that from happening, but that won't be easy without trying something new.
