Another co-defendant in the criminal case against Terrion Arnold, Boakai Hilton, has pled guilty and will testify against the Seahawks cornerback, per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
The deal is likely bad news for Arnold, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. The 23-year-old is charged with eight felonies as the “primary conspirator” in a revenge kidnapping and robbery plot stemming from multiple incidents earlier this year. The Lions, who drafted Arnold with the No. 24 pick in the 2024 draft, waived him shortly after his arrest in June. Teams circled in July and August with the Seahawks finalizing a signing just before final roster cuts.
Arnold was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list shortly after arriving in Seattle and is expected to remain there for the duration of his legal process. But at this point, he may have bigger concerns. The latest update worsens an already concerning outlook for the former Alabama cornerback. Hilton is now the third co-defendant to agree to a plea deal in exchange for his testimony, presumably against Arnold, potentially heightening the chances of conviction. Arnold could face a sentence of up to life in prison if found guilty.
At present, Arnold will remain on the shelf for the foreseeable future. His next court appearance is a December 15 status hearing in Tampa, Condotta adds, indicating he has a slim chance of seeing the field at all this season.
