Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann gifted a signed t-shirt of his club to Kansas City Chiefs star and Taylor Swift‘s boyfriend Travis Kelce, ahead of their Super Bowl match against the San Francisco 49ers.

The 32-year-old French forward, who has been in impressive form this season, is an ardent fan of the American NFL, particularly favoring the Missouri-based Kansas City Chiefs. He had previously been rumored to have discussed a move to the MLS side, Kansas Wizards, especially after he exchanged jerseys with NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes after a match in Frankfurt.

The rumors have returned once again after the 2018 World Cup winner gifted a specially-signed Atletico Madrid jersey to another Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce. Griezmann extended his support to the NFL side, ahead of a crucial match against San Francisco. Kelce, who is dating pop star Taylor Swift, publicly unveiled the gift from the French footballer and conveyed appreciation for the unexpected gesture.

I appreciate it. It's like a Christmas man. We'll try to bring home the win for you.

Moreover, Kelce added that he felt highly pleased to have been included in the squad, likening Griezmann’s gift to a Christmas present. He also reassured the French footballer that they would give their all to achieve victory on his behalf.

Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has expressed his desire to play in the MLS one day

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has opened up about his desire to play in the Major League Soccer (MLS) someday. The French player has been performing exceptionally well since his return to Madrid, following an unsuccessful stint at Barcelona.

At the age of 32, the 2018 World Cup winner expressed his opinion that Atletico would be the last club he plays for in Europe, hoping to join the MLS later on. An enthusiastic follower of American sports leagues like the MLS, NFL, and NBA, Griezmann hopes to live in the US someday.

Speaking to L’Equipe, Griezmann spoke about joining any one of the MLS sides, between Los Angeles FC and Inter Miami. Expressing high regard for Inter Miami owner David Beckham, the Frenchman could be the next big name to move to Florida after Messi, Suarez, Busquets, and Jordi Alba.
