Apparent NBA playoff curse should put Las Vegas Raiders' Jakorian Bennett on high alert during 2025 NFL season

In the NFL, injuries happen all the time. Unfortunately, that's just the nature of the most physically demanding sport outside of combat sports. The Las Vegas Raiders got a taste of that last season, having some of the worst injuries in the league.

When you have your best players, such as Davante Adams at the time, Maxx Crosby, and others, all injured and missing games, you are going to lose more times than not, especially if the coaching is poor. The Raiders can't really afford those kinds of injuries in 2025. This is a big year, and keeping their best players injury-free is what will help them take that leap that they need to take.

But, unfortunately for one player on the Raiders, there is a curse going around that could find its way to him. Now, of course, all of these things are considered conspiracy theories and superstitions. However, we just saw it happen in the NBA Finals and throughout the NBA playoffs, and that's a sport that's much less physical.

In the NBA, the three players who tore their Achilles this year, Jayson Tatum, Damian Lillard, and Tyrese Haliburton, all wear No. 0 on their jerseys. Do you know who else wears No. 0? Jakorian Bennett.

Now, the chances of that happening are not very high, but you may want to knock on some wood.

Bennett was one of the best cornerbacks in the entire league last year before he was injured and out for the year. He led the league in pass deflections at the time of his injury after playing 10 games, which is a pretty big deal. He's their No. 1 guy in the CB room, so they really can't afford for him to get hurt.

Luckily, Bennett has recovered from that injury and says he feels better than ever before. They will need him if they want to win the AFC West over the Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Chargers.
