GLENDALE – Entering the 2026 NFL Draft holding the No. 3 pick and holding the attention of one of the NFL’s most divided fan bases, the debate amongst Arizona Cardinals fans isn’t just about who they take, it’s about what kind of team they want to become.
Recent history suggests a pattern. Arizona used first-round picks on defense in consecutive years, signaling a rebuild focused on toughness and disruption. That’s why prospects like Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese and Texas Tech defensive end David Bailey feel intriguing to help build up that defense. Both projects are tone-setters, players who could elevate a unit still searching for consistency. Although after back-to-back drafts with Darius Robinson and Walter Nolan, who are still searching for answers, there could be some hesitation.
Another fraction of the Arizona Cardinals fanbase sees untapped offensive potential. Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love represents a player some evaluators view as a rare, game-changing talent. With questions looming about the long-term outlook at the position with James Conner’s age and recent injury, Love offers both insurance and upside. Meanwhile, offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa addresses a more persistent issue with QB protection. Arizona’s offensive line struggles have stalled drives and exposed quarterbacks, making stability up front a compelling priority.
Give me David Bailey. Mauigoa is a reach at pick 3. Giving me Levi Brown PTSD.

No. Need OT and Edge. Top priorities in first 3 picks for me. 3rd maybe Austin Barber

Bailey is the only good pick.

As a cards fan is drafting Jerimiyah love would be stupid

if you draft Love you’d be setting up your QB wether it’s Simpson or a 2027 guy up for immediate success. He’d have Marv Mike and Mcbride as his pass catching trio, Love and Allgier as his RB duo and a great offensive mind in Lafleur.

I would go Defense or trade the pick for more draft capital

hell no they better not draft Simpson

Draft Simpson. Then during training camp cut Minshew.
Sit Simpson behind Brissett until he is ready.

Then there’s the wildcard of whether the Cardinals trade up and draft a quarterback. Rumors of a trade-up for Alabama QB Ty Simpson have only intensified the debate. It’s the boldest move available, one that could redefine the franchise overnight or set it back years. This is why fans are split. Each path carries logic, risk, and identity. Arizona fans want to know if the Arizona Cardinals will stay on the defensive course, invest in offensive firepower, fix the foundation, and gamble on the future at quarterback? This pick isn’t just about talent evaluation. It’s about conviction. Whatever direction Arizona chooses, it will reveal exactly how they see their future.
