Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Michael Penix Jr., in his first full year on the job, is not shy about what he expects from the team’s offense this season. Here is what Penix Jr. had to say about what he expects from the team’s offense heading into the regular season. “We should be the best [offense] in the league with the guys we’ve got around us. We should be unstoppable. So that’s all. We want to be No. 1 in all categories.”

Penix Jr. will enter the regular season with lofty expectations. The Atlanta Falcons turned to him late last season. That signaled the team believes he is the team’s quarterback of the future. Will Penix Jr. be proven right about his belief in the potential of Atlanta’s offense?

The Atlanta Falcons have a talented offense on paper. As all football fans know, though, games are contested on paper. Penix Jr. will get to throw to a receiving corps that includes Drake London and Darnell Mooney. Tight End Kyle Pitts will also look to finally live up to expectations in 2025.

Final Thoughts

This is an important season for Penix Jr. and the Atlanta Falcons. The young quarterback will look to reward the team’s faith in him. Atlanta moved off proven veteran Quarterback Kirk Cousins to set the stage for the young quarterback to shine. Only time will tell if he will be able to do so.
