Atlanta Falcons Running Back Bijan Robinson Continues To Impress During 2025 Season

What did we just witness? On a night when Michael Penix Jr. was making his “Monday Night Football” debut, it was Bijan Robinson who stole the show, the stadium, and probably the Buffalo Bills’ will to live. The Atlanta Falcons took down Buffalo 24-14, and while the scoreboard says it was a team effort, our eyes told a different story. This was the Bijan show, and we were all just lucky enough to have a ticket.

Let’s just get the numbers out of the way because, frankly, they’re absurd. Robinson galloped for 170 rushing yards, tacked on another 68 through the air, and totaled a career-high 238 yards from scrimmage. To put that in perspective, Robinson and his partner-in-crime, Drake London, accounted for a staggering 89% of the Falcons’ offense in the first half. It was less of a two-man show and more like a two-man hostile takeover.

Is Robinson Even Human?

The highlight of the night, and maybe the season so far, was an 81-yard touchdown run that had to be seen to be believed. Robinson broke a tackle, hit the sideline, and turned on the afterburners. It was the kind of play that makes you stand up, spill your drink, and not even care. It was pure, unadulterated football poetry. By halftime, Robinson had already churned out 138 rushing yards, the most by any player in a single half this season. He came into the game leading the league in yards from scrimmage per game and somehow decided that wasn’t dominant enough.

After the game, Falcons Head Coach Raheem Morris didn’t mince words, calling Robinson “the best player in football.” And who’s going to argue with him? Even LeBron James was watching, posting on X, “Bijan so COLD!!!!!!!!” When the King gives you that many exclamation points, you know you’ve done something special.

Robinson Is Chasing Ghosts and Records

Through just five games, Robinson has more yards from scrimmage than any player in Falcons history. He’s on a pace that seems almost made up. If he keeps this up, he’s on track to shatter Chris Johnson’s single-season record of 2,509 scrimmage yards set back in 2009. In fact, he’s on pace to break that record in Week 16.

He’s not just breaking records; he’s joining some of the most exclusive clubs in NFL history. He’s on pace to become only the fourth player ever to have 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in the same season, putting his name alongside legends like Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk.

What’s his secret? Before the game, he was watching old highlights of Adrian Peterson’s freshman year at Oklahoma. Maybe it’s a pre-game ritual, or maybe he’s just reminding himself what greatness looks like. Whatever he’s doing, it’s working. The rest of the NFL has been put on notice. Bijan Robinson isn’t just a star; he’s a supernova, and his explosion is just getting started.
