Baker Mayfield: Progressive missed opportunity for relatable moving commercials

Wouldn't it be ironic that Baker Mayfield's lasting legacy with the Cleveland Browns was a series of insurance commercials?

Not leading the organization back to the playoffs for the first time in seemingly millions of years. Not his toughness or grit. Not the fact that he is just one of five quarterbacks to be taken No. 1 overall in the draft to not be with their original team after only five years.

Insurance commercials.

To his credit, the Progressive commercial series At Home With Baker Mayfield has been pretty awesome, but now that he's been traded to the Carolina Panthers, that series is no more.

This is despite the fact that Mayfield apparently tried to pitch a "move out" series to the insurance giant. This, according to Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer.

No new Baker Mayfield//Progressive ads forthcoming from Panthers' stadium. Mayfield calls it a "missed opportunity," saying he thought it would have been fun to "move" stadiums and tap into the feeling everyone has about what a hassle moving is.

Alas, we'll never get to see Mayfield packing his pads and helmet up in a U-Haul or the vignette of him making the road trip from Cleveland down to Charlotte.

They would have been awesome commercials and plenty relatable, so Mayfield is right, that is a "missed opportunity" on the part of Progressive.
