Bears 2024 season opponents are set following Week 18

The Chicago Bears 2023 season has come to a close following a disappointing loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 18.

As team's begin preparations for the playoffs, the Bears are beginning preparations for what will be a franchise altering offseason.

Looking ahead to what could be a more promising 2024 season in Chicago, we now know who the Bears will be facing off against next season following the official conclusion of the 2023 regular season.

Divisional Pull

In 2024, the NFC North will be facing of against the NFC West and the AFC South. The NFC West could be a tough pull for the Bears in 2024 as they'll be forced to travel to take on the current #1 seed in the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers. The NFC West also has another 2023 playoff team in the Los Angeles Rams, but that game will be played in Chicago. 

As for the AFC South, the Bears will be facing off against four young quarterbacks in C.J. Stroud, Trevor Lawrence, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis with a potentially young quarterback of their own.

Familiar Opponents

After finishing last in the NFC North, the Bears will play the teams who finished in last place from the NFC South and NFC East. That means the Bears and wide receiver DJ Moore will once again play against the Carolina Panthers in Chicago and will travel to take on the Washington Commanders.

The Bears defeated the Panthers 16-13 in Week 10 in Chicago and beat the Commanders 40-20 on the road in Week 5. Both of those wins came in primetime for the Bears. We'll see how the Panthers look in Year 2 with quarterback Bryce Young and another new head coach. The Commanders will be running a head coaching search of their own and will likely select their next quarterback with the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Bears will also get another matchup against the Arizona Cardinals this time on the road. The Bears defeated 27-16 in Chicago in Week 16. Chicago will also be hosting the New England Patriots in 2024 who will be undergoing some major organizational changes this offseason.
