Just seven days after scoring 59 points in a Week 1 win, everything has changed for the Chicago Bears offense.
Midway through the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams attempted to scramble for a potential go-ahead touchdown.
Before he could get there, though, Williams went down with a non-contact injury and immediately began yelling out in pain and grabbing at the back of his leg.
Trainers helped Williams to the sideline, and he was ultimately carted to the locker room. Williams embraced the Chicago crowd, but it was clear as day that he knew the injury he suffered was not good for the rest of his season. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo noted Williams' injury was to his hamstring.
Williams captivated the NFL world last season and was expected to be among the top quarterbacks in the NFL this season.

The result of Sunday's game against Minnesota has become an afterthought for Chicago fans. The main concern has now become an update on the status of the franchise quarterback and his outlook for the remainder of the season.
If the hamstring injury is as serious as it appeared, the season outlook for the Bears has totally shifted, and it will be up to backup Tyson Bagent to attempt to get the franchise to the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time since the 2005 and 2006 seasons.
