Following a big win on Monday night against the Washington Commanders, the Chicago Bears were faced with another tough short week leading into the Week 7 matchup against the New Orleans Saints back at Soldier Field.
It's a quick turnaround from Monday to Sunday and the Bears were dealing with some pretty notable injuries to multiple starters throughout the week.
On Friday, the team released the final injury report and Chicago mostly got a lot of good news. So, let's break it down.

The Bears had a brief injury scare after Monday night's game when veteran DJ Moore stayed behind in the D.C. area and was transported to a local hospital for a precautionary check on a groin injury. Moore returned to Chicago on Tuesday and was back on the practice field on Wednesday.
Since arriving to Chicago in 2023, Moore has been an iron man for the Bears. He's yet to miss a game since being traded and that wasn't going to be the case on Sunday. Moore was a full participant during Friday's practice and will not have an injury designations status, although we'll see if his actual role and snap count is limited in the game. If so, expect more opportunities for Luther Burden III.
As for running back D'Andre Swift, the team's lead back popped up on the injury report on Thursday with a groin injury of his own. Head coach Ben Johnson told reporters the injury did not happen on the practice field and remained "hopeful" Swift could play. He was officially listed as questionable.
Swift's status will be a big storyline to watch going into Sunday coming off his best game of the year. Swift said after practice he expects to play, barring any setback. He currently leads the backfield with 70 rushing attempts this season. If Swift's unable to go, rookie seventh-round pick Kyle Monangai will get the start with Roschon Johnson mixing in behind him.
D’Andre Swift says he will play vs. New Orleans. The groin injury is one that came from the Commanders game but isn’t one he thinks will affect him in game. He was limited on Thursday and Friday, more of a product of maintenance than anything else.
