Case Keenum starred for the Chicago Bears in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The veteran quarterback was named the QB1 for the “Monday Night Football” matchup as Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent dealt with different injuries. The team uploaded a hype video of his performance along with a message on Instagram.
Keenum completed 24-of-34 passes for 247 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions in the 27-7 win. He showed no rust despite starting his first game since the 2023 season. More importantly, the 38-year-old proved that he can deliver success to Chicago and that the team can rely on him.
He was moved to the QB2 role for Week 4 as Tyson Bagent returned to action from concussion symptoms. The former Shepherd Rams star led the offense and engineered a 23-12 victory to improve the Bears’ record to 3-1 for the season.
Chicago highlighted that Keenum’s Week 3 start was his first in more than 1,000 days. The clip included some on-field moments of him talking to his teammates, as well as an excerpt from his postgame interview.
“Case’s first start in 1,009 days was worth the wait,” the Bears wrote.

News emerged that Williams could practice next week. However, fans want the team to make sure he’s 100% first and not rush his return. Bagent could start more games if the Bears take a cautious approach on the star quarterback’s injury, with Keenum serving as his backup.
Chicago will face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in a rivalry showdown. The team will travel to Lambeau Field and will host its rivals at Soldier Field in Week 16. They met three times last season, splitting the regular-season results. However, the Bears had the last laugh as they eliminated the Packers in the Wild Card Round to advance to the Divisional Round.
