Ryan Poles is keeping Chicago Bears fans busy as NFL free agency rages on. The Bears have agreed to sign offensive lineman, Jake Curhan, to a one-year deal, according to Chris Emma of 670 The Score. Chicago also announced the release of practice squad offensive lineman Roy Mbaeteka.

Mbaeteka hasn't played a down in the NFL and has traveled on and off the Bears' practice squad. Chicago signed him to a futures contract in January but has now released the 24-year-old from Nigeria.

Bears Sign OL Jake Curhan

Jake Curhan is a 6-foot-6 tackle out of California. He's a three-year NFL veteran who appeared in 29 games for the Seattle Seahawks. The 26-year-old started nine games and is credited with two tackles in 2021.

Curhan played in less than half of Seattle's offensive snaps and bounced between the active roster and the practice squad. But he has only been called for one holding penalty in his career.

Curhan also played snaps on Special Teams and looks to be a rotational piece on the Chicago Bears offensive line. General Manager Ryan Poles continues to add more bodies to the offensive line to protect his franchise quarterback, whoever that ends up being.
