Simone Biles' new puffer vest from Kristin Juszczyk next season is going to look so much nicer than it did in 2023. According to reports, safety Jonathan Owens, Simone Biles' husband, has signed a two-year deal with the Chicago Bears. Biles will now rep blue and orange on the sidelines instead of green and yellow.

Owens spent the first four seasons of his career with the Houston Texans. Owens' first three seasons with the Texans were largely in a reserve role, before a breakout 2022 season. In 2022, Owens started all 17 games, amassing 125 total tackles with Houston.

Owens signed a one-year deal with the Green Bay Packers in 2023, collecting 84 total tackles over 17 games (11 starts). Now, Owens will venture to a NFC North rival and join the Bears on a two-year deal.

Owens is not much of a ballhawk, but rather more of a strong safety who can play the run well. His high tackle numbers show that he is not afraid to get involved in the run game. He has defended seven passes in the last two seasons and will be a nice depth safety for the Bears in 2024 behind Kevin Byard and Jaquan Brisker
